This page exists on our website because we wish to make certain that God gets all the Glory for whatever He chooses to do with this family. We want to make known that we place our hope, faith, and trust in Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Hope and I are flawed individuals, with propensities toward selfishness and comfort. We have two children at the time of this writing, and we already know that being a parent is hard work. And having had 5 siblings, I realize the most difficult times lie ahead for us as parents. I admit that oftentimes, Hope and I seem to be making things up as we go along in trying to raise our sons. And, that in moments of better clarity, Hope and I would say that we are much more dependent on God’s Graces, than even we perceive.
However, we do believe the Psalmist when he wrote, "He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake."
There is restoration, and guidance to be had from God above. We simply must do everything we can to receive both. Not a day goes by that we aren’t so grateful for Tyler and Owen. We love them so very much. But how do we ensure that we are raising them correctly, and in a way that causes them to be kind, compassionate and loving, but with the ability to stand up for their beliefs?
We can’t ensure that. There are no guarantees in this life.
Our prayer continues to be that God may use our family for the Glory of His namesake, and He promises that He will give us the Grace to walk our calling out; day-after-day, and year-after-year. It will not be by our efforts, or our own willing that may bring success. It will be humble obedience to His Word, and a sacrifice of ourselves to His Purpose in our lives.
Lord knows we have nothing to offer, but that He within our hearts, has everything to offer.

P.S. – I also wish to encourage all of you reading this with children of your own, to not let a day go by that you don’t tell them that you love them. Kiss them up if they’re little, or even not-so-little. Love them enough to discipline them as best you know how, and do all you can to spend time with them.
Perhaps most importantly, LOVE and serve your spouses!!! I'm reminded of a sign that still hangs in my parents den that says, "The greatest gift a Father can give his children is to love their Mother." Ain't it the truth?
And for those of you that know us, please encourage us as often as you remember ...we need it!
